Head: SW Dark Woman
Body: IJ Marion Ravenwood
Scratch-built Nametag
25A BAT arm prop

Design:

After making a Hotwire custom, I liked the outcome and wanted to do another similar figure. Dr. Knox was the best candidate to be a character dressed to match Hotwire. I had a very crude slightly modified Tonka figure as Dr. Knox from 20 years ago and this was a good excuse to replace it.

I've also wondered what dirt cheap figures Hasbro could make by mixing and matching its existing toylines together- like they did to create the exclusive Cobra Commander. Articulation points aren't an issue for me as they are for many collectors, so I saw the Marion Ravenwood body as a good starting point.

I toyed with two ideas while making this custom. The first was to replace the lower arms with those of the 25A Scarlett to have a more medical/sterile feel. The second was to Dremel down/re-sculpt the foot to hide the toes. Ultimately, I wanted to go with a straight repaint of the body, so I left it alone- toes and all.

Colors:

The white/blue design is taken directly from my Hotwire custom, which is a tweaking of the convention exclusive white/purple design.

Like with Hotwire, I added black splatter to the shirt and brown splatter to the pants. I usually don't use splatter effects, washes, or "dirty" figures, but it really added a greasemonkey look to the figure. I also painted smudges on the shirt to show where grime had been wiped.

The hair, though it looks almost greenish in the photo, is a very light yellow/white with metallic silver mixed in to give it that platinum blonde appearance.

Thanks for looking.
