Head: 12" Duke (version 5 - w/ missile arm)
Body: Standard Hasbro super articulated
Uniform: 21st Century
Gear: Primarily Hasbro

Hauser's origin lies in the brief period of captivity of Duke by Cobra forces in an early G.I. Joe mission. While Duke lay surrounded by Cobra, Dr. Mindbender approached and forcibly took a blood sample from him. Dr. Mindbender later used Duke's genetic material in a similar fashion to his Serpentor project and created a clone of the famous G.I. Joe squad leader.

Duke's experiences and training did not pass along with his genetic code, but his innate abilities as a warrior did. This clone was rapidly educated in all aspects of warfare and political philosophy by Cobra forces, sometimes by Cobra Commander himself. While Cobra Commander despises Duke, he relished the opportunity to train his version according to his twisted philosophy of life.

Hauser, taking his "brother's" surname, knows who and what he is and looks forward to the day of meeting Duke in one-on-one combat. He is a viscous, amoral being, despising any sign of weakness and is a highly capable battle field commander.

My thoughts: I liked this head sculpt of Duke, but traded him out for the newer (non-talking) version. For a long time, I didn't know what to do with this sculpt. At some point, I came across another SA style body to use with this head and decided to see what he'd look like in Cobra colors. Worked great for me and the back story just kind of developed from there.
