Desert Scorpion is the leader of the Sand Vipers. Whenever MAJ Bludd needs someone to infiltrate a Joe outpost, he sends in Desert Scorpion and the Sand Vipers. Armed with the most sophisticated weaponry known to man, Cobra Commander has supplied his small attack squad with the latest ammunition.

When the Joe team members: Dusty, Gung -ho and Flint encountered Desert Scorpion and the Sand Vipers, their outpost was overrun. Out-gunned and out-manned, the Joe team made their way to a secluded fortress where they sought sanctuary until the rest of the Joe team rescued them.
