For whatever reason, Boa has always been in my top 5 favorite Cobras. His figure was perfect for a trainer, but the one thing that always bugged me was he never had a version that I thought would be used in the field.

I have been putting parts together for years trying to find the right combo to fit him. This is the best I have come up with to date. I like the armored look of him, yet he appears to be able to be mobile. I justify the SS legs since he would most likely need the Ninja Weapons in close quarters combat (and he would probably use them since in my Joe-Verse he is a master of several different martial arts forms).

Not that I have anything against the boxer version. In my mind he uses boxing to teach discipline to the early recruits. But at the same time something in me felt he would know a lot of hand-to-hand combat techniques. The nearest comparison I would have is a drill instructor in the army who has studied for a while.

My history of Boa is slightly different. As it turns out he went for the Golden Gloves championship of boxing, but was defeated by non other than Roadblock. Since then he learned several different hand-to-hand techniques and joined the army briefly. He left after he was unable to get his desired assignment as a drill instructor. He traveled the world after that, training various third world nations and revolutionaries who could pay him. He quickly caught the attention of Cobra Commander, who hired him full time to train his Cobra recruits.

Boa stayed in the shadows for a long time, and only recently took an interest in being on the field (partly after finding out Roadblock was on the team). He proved himself to be very adept at field command early on, and has served double duty ever since.
