Warface was a Greenshirt Marine and former drill instructor, with a reputation for pure cussedness and determination who was nearing "codename" status when he lost his lower leg to a mine while assaulting a Cobra base.

Outfitted with a state-of-the-art prosthetic, he pushed himself to get back into shape and prove to his superiors he still had what it took to be a Marine and a Joe. Hawk was so impressed by his gumption he granted him full status and pressed him into service training Greenshirts, freeing up Beach Head and Leatherneck for other duties.
