This figure was another of my entries into OB, bucky and Dusty79's Resurgence figure challenge, which happened around the same time as I was building my Wong figure, and wound up with an extra Hydra soldier head. I thought to myself 'this would look cool in blue' and digging through the fodder box, came up with enough parts to make a modern counterpart to Flash, the Joe's laser trooper. With some fun weapon work, it all came together. The logo on the chest was a water slide gifted to me from Gary 'Goggles' Head, which puts this custom on the shelf with the few others that I will never let go.

NegaWatt, as described by Kilcarr, "The rank and file Cobra Trooper has changed over the years. To better keep up with technology, each Trooper is assigned a helmet with a heads up display that not only records their surroundings, but also monitors their health as well as relays tactical information. It's their best recruiting scheme yet as it really feels like you're inside a video game. Also coming standard issue is a bullet and laser proof vest. Modified from BAT technology, it can stop small arms fire and makes enemy lasers more inaccurate. Finishing off the ensemble is the new and improved Blu-Ray Plasma Rifle. The Cobra Trooper of the future is coiled and ready to strike!"
